The team was founded by a group of friends in late 2007 and was entered in the championship Aics for the first time in the season 2008/2009 with the name of Hammarby IF. The name was taken in honor of the Swedish team that currently plays in Superrattan (our series B), which as you know has one of the warmest supporters of Northern Europe.
Two seasons later, thanks to the good results in the field and to the Facebook page meticulously updated with info, photos, videos and statistics ( https://www.facebook.com/hammarbygenua?fref=ts ) some fans of the team you are interested in Swedish to us and have begun to populate the page with hundreds and hundreds of " likes " and comments.
Word of mouth among them has meant that the company was aware of us and thank us for our choice , in October 2011, we were invited for the first time at the stadium in Stockholm to attend a league match . Upon our arrival, thrilled , we were greeted like real celebrities, taken around the city , accompanied by the leaders in the tour of the stadium. Then the speaker , shortly before reading formations , announced our presence and the whole stadium ( 15,000 people) were raised to applaud .
A few months later , a representative of the company called us back to Stockholm to give us a surprise. Once you get inside the VIP stand of Söderstadion we found ourselves some components of organized supporters together with the members of the Company who , in front of a couple of photographers, we were handed the official uniforms of the team can use in our league and we have proposed a symbolic affiliation .
We can proudly claim to be the first and only Italian amateur team affiliated with a professional and being the second in the world.
With the Swedes have created a strong bond of friendship , so that in the last two years we have been invited to play several tournaments in the Scandinavian land , in addition to following matches in the first team , hosted , or simply for a vacation !
